Abbie – Dental Hygienist
Abbie was born and raised in South Florida. She was inspired by a Coast Guard dentist to pursue a career in dental hygiene while she served in the U.S. Coast Guard in Kodiak, AK. After completing her service in the Coast Guard, she returned to her native Florida, where in 1993 she graduated from Tallahassee Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She went on to serve in the U.S. Naval Reserve while simultaneously working as a dental hygienist and completing a bachelors’ degree in business management from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She married her husband, Mike, in 1994 and continued to serve our country as he completed a career as a U.S. Army officer. Abbie continued to work as a dental hygienist and raised two wonderful sons, Caleb and Collin, as the Army took the family around the country. Until 2012, home was where the Army sent them. They are now proud to have chosen Alaska as their home. Abbie believes that oral health is the gateway to the overall health and enjoys empowering her patients in their healthy living pursuits. She enjoys hiking the beautiful Alaskan mountains, Schutzhund training with her two German Shepherd dogs, being a football mom, and engaging in cross-fit training.
Anna – Dental Hygienist
Anna grew up in Alaska after moving here in 1975, she is married, has raised 4 amazing children and has 2 playful Dobermans. She loves hiking in the beauty Alaska has to offer but enjoys getting away during our long winters to vacation in hot climates. She enjoys reading a good book but her favorite activity is weightlifting, you have probably seen her in the gym.
Anna has been a registered dental hygienist since 1996 when she graduated from the UAA Dental Hygiene Program with honors, at the time she was also the recipient of the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award, a national award for clinical and technical excellence. We were lucky to inherit her from a retiring colleague when we acquired his dental patients. Anna enjoys helping the most challenging and fearful patients, she feels her experience, skills and techniques are best used to help patients improve their oral health.

Sheryl – Dental Hygienist
Sheryl Loan comes to our office with over two decades of hygiene experience. Sheryl was born in Idaho and moved to Alaska as a child. After moving outside and living in California and New Mexico, she and her husband came back to Alaska in 1982.
Sheryl graduated with honors from UAA with her degree in dental hygiene in 1986. After settling in Eagle River and starting her family here, she is pleased to be living and working in Eagle River. She and her husband have three children, Kyle, Kinsey, and Alex. All of them graduated from Chugiak High School. Their oldest son entered the Marine Corp in 2011, their daughter attends Alaska Pacific University, and their youngest son is a freshman at University of Alaska Anchorage.
Sheryl and her family all enjoy biking, cross-country skiing, and hiking. Sheryl especially enjoys interacting with her patients. She tries to incorporate exercise and good general health into their oral health plan.
Stacy – Dental Hygienist
Stacy has been working with Dr. Land since 2004 and was a pleasant addition to the staff at Eagle Summit Dental Group. Stacy was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and spent some time living in Palm Desert, California.
She moved to Alaska in 1987 and continued her career in dental assisting. In 1995 she graduated from University of Alaska, Anchorage with her associate degree in dental hygiene. Stacy and her husband, Gary, have lived in Eagle River since 1996. They have one son, Deven. Stacy volunteers at her church assisting in children’s ministry, and became a den leader for her son’s cub scout troop in 2008. Stacy’s hobbies include hiking, cooking, biking, losing her keys, and making people laugh.
Once nicknamed “Boss of Floss,” through humor and lightheartedness, she encourages her patients to become an active participant in their oral and systemic health. Stacy educates patients to help them achieve optimal oral health.
Fiona – Dental Assistant
Fiona is a born and raised Alaskan and have been local to Eagle River my entire life. She started working at Eagle Summit in October of 2021. Eagle Summit has quickly become a second family to her and over the last year she found a new passion for the dental industry.
She takes full advantage of her time outside of the office, especially in the summer with fishing and camping! Her and her family love getting into the great outdoors all year round, and living the Alaska dream life!
Kirsten – Dental Assistant
Kirsten has been part of our team since March 2013. She’s a lifelong Alaskan and grew up here in Eagle River. She graduated from Chugiak high School and attended Assist to Succeed shortly after.
Kirsten enjoys fishing, cooking and spending time with her family. Her and her husband love spending time at their cabin in Lake Louise, AK and raising their daughter in the great outdoors, the Alaskan way.
Keirah – Dental Assistant
Keirah was born in Sitka, Alaska. Most of her childhood was spent on the boats fishing and going camping with her grandparents. She loves hiking and being outdoors. Winter or summer she loves Alaska all year round!
Her career in dental started at the Alaska Native Medical Center through South Central Foundation. She assisted there for almost two years. From there she branched out and eventually found a wonderful clinic closer to home in Eagle River!
Miranda – Dental Assistant
Hi, my name is Miranda. I was raised in Valdez, moved to Anchorage in 2012 my freshman year and graduated at West High School 2015. I completed my Dental Assistant Program through Southcentral Foundation June 2021. I am one the assistants at our office and have been with Eagle Summit for 1 1/2 years. I have two lovely boys, Kartez who is 3 years old and Kamari who is 5 years old. I love to spend my time outside of work with my boyfriend and kids doing outdoor activities such as -biking, kayaking, hiking and ice skating. My hobbies inside are hand knitting, crocheting, painting, and string art.
Amory – Business Manager
Amory was born and raised in Eagle River. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education at Northern Arizona University, and taught middle school in Anchorage for four years. She has been happily married to Dr. Sanders since 1993. They have three wonderful children attending high school and college. Amory loves to spend time reading a good book, traveling to new places, and hiking around this beautiful state.
Angie – Office Manager
Angie was born and raised in Eagle River, Alaska. She attended college at University of Anchorage, Alaska, and at Montana State University in Bozeman. Angie met her husband, Don, in King Salmon, where they worked for many years. They have three boys, who enjoy fishing and rafting as a family.
Angie has a love for running and can be found running in the mountains or on the trails. She coaches Kidz Running, a summer program through Healthy Futures. She enjoys yoga and hiking in her free time. Angie is blessed to live in a community she loves and be around her family and friends.
Holly – Office Administrator
Holly is the newest member to our team. She joined us this past spring in the front office. She was born and raised as a military brat moving all over the lower 48 with her family and the Air Force. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelors in Human Resource Management. After 24 years of service, she and her husband, Jason, have recently retired from the Air Force and settled down in Eagle River. They have three boys, two of which are still at home and the third is in the Air Force.
Holly enjoys traveling and being the family’s travel agent. She and Jason also enjoy spending time biking and hiking with their aussiedoodle, Lily.
Heather – Front Desk Coordinator
Heather has been in the dental field for 20 years. She has worked with Eagle Summit dental since her husbands military career brought them to Alaska in 2017. He has since retired and they have made Alaska their home. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and fur babies exploring all Alaska has to offer. When she isn’t exploring Alaska she can be found visiting her son, daughter in law and Granddaughter in Texas.
Diane – Front Desk
Diane is from Tucson, Arizona where she studied Environmental Science at Pima Community College. She then began a career with the City of Tucson as a Water Quality Analyst. Upon retirement, Diane moved to Chugiak to be with family.
She loves living in Alaska, being close to family, making new friends and working with awesome people!
Tina – Insurance Administrator
Tina was born in Cannonville, Oregon, and she lived in Oregon and Washington during her childhood. In 1981 she graduated from high school in Coquille, Oregon, and then enrolled in Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls. She moved to Alaska in 1983 working as a pharmacy technician at Longs Drug Stores, where she met her husband, Wayne. They were married in Kona, Hawaii, in 1993. Their son, Jeffery, graduated in 2012 from Chugiak High School. They have one beloved German Shepard named Nova.
Tina attended UAA, earning her certificate as a dental assistant in 1990. She has worked for over 25 years in the dental field as an assistant in general practice, orthodontics, and front office management.
She enjoys bowling, camping, hiking, biking, skiing, both alpine and cross country. They are avid Seattle Seahawks fans! She loves living in Chugiak and the small-town experience. She is grateful for getting the opportunity to work in Eagle River with a great group of people who are fun, friendly, and professional.
